The carrier tape extrusion line generally includes: Extruder, screen changer, melt pump, melt flow channel, distributor, T-die, three roller calender, corona treatment, cutting device.
The material of the carrier tape consists mainly of two types: plastic (polymer) and paper. It is mainly made of plastic material, and the mainstream of the market is PC (polycarbonate) Carrier, PS (Polystyrene) and ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymerization resin) Carrier tape. Besides, there is also a small amount of PET, APET and other materials used to produce the carrier tape. PC material is characterized by high mechanical strength, good transparency, good dimensional stability, high glass transition temperature, good heat-resistance ability. PS materials have lower mechanical strength than PC materials, so sometimes ABS materials are used for three layers composite sheet to improve the tensile strength of the tape.
